The repair person was actually here within an hour but only because he was in the area already.

Still not fixed. On 7/19/18, I was informed I would have a call back with a resolution within 24 hours. They did not call. For the 4th time I was told this would be rushed. I have paid these people thousands of dollars over the past 5 years. I have paid my $100 to the repair guy to fix my dishwasher. It has been a month and a half, my dishwasher is still not working, these people do not work hard to resolve issues, do not call you back when they say they will, and clearly could care less about their customers. It's just a dishwasher. I'd hate to see how long they'd take if it was something serious like plumbing or an air conditioner. The claims department at HWA is a joke. Our A/C has been broken for 3 weeks now and every time I call I get someone else who immediately puts me on hold then tells me the same thing, the previous person told me and everyone of them has said, "I’ll follow up with a phone call or email to keep you posted".

This was definitively an acute and sudden breakdown that falls under the contractual coverage of my home warranty. Finally, I got approval again after hours on hold to have the first company back, and they are only covering about 2/3 of the cost, based on a clause in the contract that applies to refrigerators, not HVAC. I'll be filing complaints with BBB and our state Attorney General's office for consumer affairs, and considering a small claims action to recover the cost they refused to pay. Avoid these guys. Their market is real estate agents, who use this to sell clients as protection for their new home. It isn't worth the paper it is written on. Do not allow a contract with them on the purchase of your new home find another company. I have tried to like this company because a friend of mine recommended it, but it is terrible. After our most recent experience we will likely be suing them. We live in the fastest growing city in US, but yet their first response is "we have no one in your area. " Then we call to get the claim "expedited," stay on hold for an hour or more and a week later get someone out.
